Media literacy concerns enabling people of all ages and backgrounds to gain more creative and informed access to the media.

  • British Film Institute (bfi) - the Education department has a range of resources to promote understanding and appreciation of moving image media. These resources are particularly targeted at the formal education sector but can also support education outreach by community groups and cinemas.
  • Film Education - offers classroom resources including study guides and CD-ROMs.
  • European Charter for Media Literacy - exists to support the establishment of media literacy across Europe.
