Ann Carrington

Anna Carrington

Anna Carrington started working as a Clapper Loader and went on to work as a Focus Puller (1st Assistant Camera) after completing her degree in film and video production.

Anna thinks she would be in the same position today had she not won her place on Audio Visual Entrepreneurship Development Partnership's Technical Change mentoring scheme. The programme partnered Anna with Emmy award winning cinematographer, Henry Braham BSC whose credits include The Golden Compass, Nanny McPhee and Stephen Fry's Bright Young Things.

Anna was mentored by Henry for one year during the production of The Golden Compass.  Anna regularly visited the set of the film and was introduced to the inner-workings of a big-budget movie set by Henry and his team of staff. She attended pre and post production meetings, visited the different sets and special effects department.

Through Technical Change Anna was given access to a world that would have been difficult to break into. Anna is currently enjoying success as a freelance Director of Photography and has shot numerous music videos, short films and documentaries.  Anna is hoping to shoot her first feature length drama in the summer of 2008.
